BC Rural Communities Summit

“The Rural Summits are a wonderful opportunity for all of us in rural BC to learn from each other, and take home some concrete ideas and strategies for our communities.”

Port Hardy Mayor Bev Parnham

Summit2BC Rural Summits are an engaging opportunity to explore the most innovative strategies in building a sustainable rural economy. Summit workshops and presentations feature industry leaders with the goal of:

  • Creating and enhancing awareness around issues of importance to rural and remote communities across all regions of BC
  • Providing participants with practical tools and strategies that can be translated into actions in their communities
  • Offering valuable opportunities to network with and learn from rural colleagues

The 8th BC Rural Communities Summit was held in beautiful Kaslo, BC from Friday June 13th to Sunday June 15th, 2014 and was a great success!!

With attendees and presenters from around the province (and some from even further away!), the weekend was jam packed with engaging presentations and rural citizens connecting with one another.  Check out the Kaslo Institute’s website here for a great summary and photos of the weekend.
