Come Back BC and Business Retention in Rural BC:

This workshop will present a ‘road map’ of existing community economic development supports, and specific tools designed to assist rural communities with addressing issues related to business succession, retention, and expansion. Through presentations and case studies, participants will be introduced to tools such as: Project Come Back BC, a business succession newsletter that features local business opportunities and encourages previous residents to move back to their home town; and Business Retention in Rural BC, an introduction to how rural BC communities can implement business retention strategies including a tool kit for small communities that links business retention strategies with downtown revitalization strategies.
