Work Force Strategies for Rural and Remote BC
How do communities, government and educational institutions plan for the current, medium and long term needs of existing and prospective employers? This workshop discusses the need for a continuing and effective workforce development plan and implementation strategy for communities and key industry sectors operating within a rural/ remote context. The workshop includes a discussion of the current Coordinated Workforce Strategy project underway by the Regional District of Mount Waddington in partnership with Employment and Labour Market Services (BC) and North Island Employment Foundations Society.
